Curling among friends – An exciting evening on the ice

Friday evening, 7:30 p.m., the small hall is reserved just for us. There are eight of us guys between 19 and 24, all friends from the club, and tonight we're playing an internal tournament. Curling is our thing: concentration, precision, team spirit. I'm the skip, I call the line, the others lay, sweep, and clean like crazy. The stones glide, there's a clang, we cheer for every good shot. Three hours of non-stop action, we narrowly beat the "old hands." Afterwards, there's beer from the cooler, pats on the back, "Great round, guys!" – simply a perfect evening of sports.
Those tight curling pants are truly unforgiving. When someone bends over and releases the stone or cleans like crazy, the fabric stretches across their backside – and we've got some seriously ripped ones here. I'm standing at the back as the skip and have the best view: Leon (21) has this round, toned curling butt that jiggles with every wipe; Finn (20) has this narrow waist and broad shoulders, it just looks incredibly good. You can tell the others are glancing over every now and then, little grins, silly comments ("Hey Leon, been glute training again?"). It's all still harmless, but the atmosphere is already a bit tense.
