Ice skating – passion, precision and the bond of camaraderie

I've been figure skating since I was a child – and nothing fascinates me more than watching the other boys perform their programs. The precision of a perfect Axel, the flowing line of a sit-spin, the way their muscles tense and stretch beneath their tight leotards, the elegance as they launch themselves into the air and land softly. It's pure artistry on the ice. During practice, I often stand by the rink, watching them polish their elements – the concentration on their faces, the sweat glistening on their foreheads, their breathtaking body control. Afterward, we sit together, analyze videos, laugh at botched jumps, and celebrate new personal bests. It's this deep passion for the sport that connects us – nothing else.
Over time, admiration deepens into something more. There's Luca—our best pair skater, tall, slender, with this incredible presence on the ice. When he smiles while practicing a lift, I feel a warm tingle in my chest. In the evenings after practice, we sometimes sit in the cafeteria for a long time, talking about pressure, dreams of the Olympics, the fear of injury. He really listens. His hand rests briefly on my shoulder—comforting, brotherly. I realize how much I crave his closeness, how much I love it when he looks at me and says, "You're the only one who truly understands how this feels." It's love—quiet, deep, without a single word about sex.
More and more often, I find myself lingering on their bodies—not lustfully, but with fascination. The way the muscles move beneath the skin when they perform a Biellmann spin, the narrow waist, the broad shoulders, the long legs. After training, we go into the large 12-stall shower—open cubicles, warm steam everywhere. We stand side by side, letting the hot water run over us. Luca turns to me, washes his hair, and for a moment our eyes meet through the steam. His smile is soft, almost shy. Our shoulders touch briefly as we pass each other the soap—a tiny spark that races through my body. No one says anything. But the air suddenly crackles differently.
