The snow crunched under my boots as I trudged up the slope, pulling the sled behind me. My friends laughed and shoved each other, their cheeks red with cold and anticipation. Reaching the top, I glanced over the group—and there he was again, Tim, the cutest of them all, with his dark curls peeking out from under his hat and that shy smile that always made my stomach flutter.
"Tim, are you riding in front?" I asked, trying to sound cool. He nodded and sat down in the front seat of our big two-person sled. I swung myself behind him, my legs on either side of him, and off we went. The wind whipped our faces as we hurtled down the slope, through the curves, the snow spraying up like sea foam. The others were long ahead, their shouts echoing through the forest.
In the middle of the steepest section, our sled suddenly stopped – a thick branch had wedged itself sideways under the runners. We slid a few more meters, then came to a halt, wedged between two fir trees, while the others arrived at the bottom cheering. Tim turned halfway to me and laughed: "Great, now we're the last ones."
I just grinned, helped him pull the branch away, and together we freed the sled. Hand in hand, we trudged down the rest of the slope, the cold burning my fingers, but the feeling of having been alone with him warmed me all evening.

This time it was Jonas. His blue eyes sparkled beneath his wool hat, and as he sat down on the sled, my heart beat a little faster. I took my place behind him, my knees brushing his hips as we pushed off. The slope was steep, the snow perfectly smooth – we were practically flying.
I placed my hands, seemingly at random, on his waist, as if to hold on. He said nothing, just smiled, but I felt his muscles tense briefly beneath my fingers. The wind was icy, but it was noticeably warmer between us.
Suddenly – a jolt. The sled stopped, half-buried in the deep snow, far behind the others. We were alone. Jonas turned around, his breath white at his mouth, just centimeters from mine. "Looks like we're having a little break," he said quietly.
I laughed, my hands still on his hips. "Could be worse." For a moment we just sat there like that, the world around us silent, only the soft crunch of the snow and our breathing. Then we dug ourselves free together, but the touch of his cold fingers on mine stayed with me for a long time.
Today it was Leo – tall, broad-shouldered, with that cheeky grin. I sat down behind him, pressing myself closer to his back than necessary, my hands immediately under his jacket, on the warm sweater over it. "So I don't fall off," I murmured in his ear. He just chuckled softly, but said nothing.
The sled shot off. With every turn, I slid a little closer, my breasts against his back, my thighs tightly wrapped around his hips. I felt him tense slightly—and then relax again, as if he'd decided to play along.
Halfway down the slope, the same thing happened again: we were the last to stop, this time because I had secretly braked with my foot. The sled was stuck in the snow, the others long since at the bottom. Leo turned around, his eyes dark with cold and something else. "You're doing this on purpose, aren't you?"
I just grinned, pulled him closer by his scarf, and kissed him—briefly but intensely, his lips ice-cold, then instantly hot. His hands found my waist, pulling me even closer. When we broke apart, breathless, his eyes were glazed over. “We should… go on,” he whispered, but neither of us moved immediately. Only after a few more stolen kisses and hands slipping under jackets did we free the sled and hurtle down—both of us with flushed cheeks that definitely weren't just from the cold.
