Swimmer portraits: Strength & aesthetics at the poolside

I'm sitting on my bed, phone in hand, scrolling through the new photos of the university swimming relay team. The two boys, Lukas and Noah, are simply perfectly built: broad shoulders, narrow waists, legs like marble. Their dark blue competition swim trunks sit low on their hips, water still beading on their skin. I zoom in closer, studying the lines of their abs, the way the light refracts in the tiny water droplets. It's simply fascinating how much strength and discipline these bodies possess. I smile, save the best picture as my background, and think: Amazing what sport can do for you.

I'm lying in the darkened room, only the screen is lit. Again, that same photo: Noah and Lukas side by side at the edge of the pool, their swim trunks wet and tight. I look at the small, soft bulge visible beneath the fabric – still completely relaxed, almost innocent. In my mind, I imagine how this bulge will slowly change as they get out of the water, the cold subsides, the blood pulses… My fingers simply rest on my stomach, perfectly still, but I can already feel that warm tingling sensation spreading ever so gently. I don't touch anything yet, I just look and let my imagination quietly grow.
